HABC Level 3 International Award In Beach Lifeguarding Qualification (BLQ)
HABC Level 3 International Award in Beach Lifeguard Training is for those learners wishing to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to become a qualified beach lifeguard. It covers the preparation, health and safety of a beach environment, and how to respond to beach emergencies and emergency situations in open water areas.
This Beach Lifeguard Training is assessed by Practical Observation & Open Response Assessment. This qualification is usually obtained by taking 2.5-day classroom-based course and allows successful learners to operate as a qualified beach lifeguard for 2 years. After this period, learners will need to retrain and go though reassessment in order to remain a qualified beach lifeguard. This qualification is internationally recognized. The BLQ is valid for 2 years from the date of issue.

Training manuals and course content are based on industry best practice, international standards, as well as legislation and regulatory requirements of the local regulatory authority.
HABC Level 3 Beach Lifeguard Training
Practical and theoretical assessments will focus on hazard recognition and control as indicated by student’s familiarity with the requirements/ procedures.
The Beach Lifeguard Training takes about 5 days to complete wherein the last day is dedicated for assessment.
