What is AHA HeartSaver® First Aide, CPR and AED Training?
AHA HeartSaver® First Aid Training with CPR and AED Trainings (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Automated External Deﬁbrillator) is a classroom, video-based, instructor-led course that teaches participants critical skills needed to respond to and manage a ﬁrst aid, choking or sudden cardiac arrest emergency in the ﬁrst few minutes until Emergency Medical Services (EMS) arrives.

Additionally, parents, teachers, coaches, and anyone else who wants to be prepared in case of an emergency can benefit from taking this course. The course covers basic first aid skills, how to recognize and respond to cardiac and respiratory emergencies, as well as how to properly use an AED.

How long for the students of AHA HeartSaver® First Aid Training with CPR and AED course to complete the subject?
The AHA HeartSaver® First Aid Training, CPR and AED course takes about 8 hours to complete. This also includes the skills examination.
Students will get an electronic copy of the Provider Manual, an American Heart Association certification cards and certificate of completion. A personal protective equipment will also be provided in the training.
- Students will learn the techniques while watching the course.
- HSS Philippines also utilizes PowerPoint presentations.
The course is conducted by a subject-matter expert in first aid, CPR and use of AED. There is one instructor to 10 students.
Students are assessed via skills testing.
